"Nature: the constant battle between species to see who's on top of the pecking order." October 6, 2017 Grand Teton National Park Wyoming The relationship between the American Bison and the Cowbird is an example of commensalism. This is different from a symbiotic relationship due to the fact that only one organism, in this case the cowbird, benefits from the relationship. The birds eat the insects stirred up by the giant mammals, with the bison being left without benefit from the feathered flyers.
"Is it me, or does the one in the middle look like he's about to drop the most 🔥 mixtape you've ever herd?" September 5, 2017 I took a lot of bison photos, and oddly enough I don't remember taking this one or seeing it on my camera until I uploaded it onto Lightroom. I think its my favorite Bison composition that I captured in this Wyoming trip.
"Those antlers over deer are staggering." February 9, 2017 This is one of my favorite wildlife photos. Granted, the mule deer herd in Zion National Park is almost tame due to the volume of visitors in the main canyon. When I saw this buck, I immediately knew that I wanted to get a shot of the antlers back-lit by the afternoon sun to get that velvet to glow. It took a lot of patience, but I eventually managed to get one that I am very satisfied with.
