"Went to the highest mountain in Tennessee to get one last peak at the setting sun." October 9, 2017 Great Smoky Mountains National Park If there's a popular and cliche photo spot somewhere, you bet your ass that you'll find me posted up next to all the other tripods during my first day in a new area. I go to those places for two reasons: 1. You're pretty much guaranteed a keeper shot. but more importantly 2. You meet other people who like to shoot. Odds are those people have up to date local insight on other hot shooting spots. While you might leave with a decent photo, you will leave with intel that's just as valuable.
"This is the fifth photo I have posted of my glacier trip. It's just the tip of the iceberg." July 2018. Iceberg Lake, Glacier National Park, Montana 5.5 miles up, 5.5 miles down.
