"If you like photos of bridges, I've got you covered." September 12, 2017 Lucerne, Switzerland Waited too long for a train to get downtown and missed most of the color from the sunset, but I managed to save some on this hasty shot.
This is were it all began. Now, I don't know the exact date of this shot, because the EXIF data reads January 1, 2010. I want to say it was closer to June 29th of the same year. You see, I didn't know how to use a camera at all when my parents bought me my Nikon D90 from a Hong Kong street vendor; I didn't even know how to set the date. That night, we went to an excellent rooftop steakhouse for dinner. I brought my brand new camera with me, and with all of the settings on Auto, I snapped some photos of the city. I didn't know anything about Shutter Speed, Aperture, and ISO, and I didn't have a tripod. Anyone that has shot cityscapes knows how complex the lighting can be, and how critical an even basic understanding of exposure is when shooting these scenes. I am amazed that I managed to get any usable frames that night. This shot is far from perfect, and I would not even consider it a portfolio piece, but it is part of my story.
